Wig Measurement & Size Guide
A well-fitting wig begins with accurate measurements. Use a soft measuring tape to measure your head with your hair prepared as flat as possible underneath. Keep the tape snug against your head without pulling too tightly. All measurements should be taken in inches.
MEASURING TIPS
- Measure your head 2–3 times for accuracy.
- Have someone assist you for the most precise results.
- If your measurements fall between sizes, we recommend sizing up for comfort.
Use the chart above to compare your measurements with our standard cap sizes:
- Extra Small: 20 – 20.5”
- Small: 21 – 21.5”
- Average / Medium: 22 – 22.5”
- Large: 22.5 – 23”
- Extra Large: 23.5 – 24”
How to Measure Your Head
For the most accurate fit, take each measurement two to three times before submitting your order.
- Circumference:
Starting at the center of your front hairline, wrap the measuring tape around your head, passing above the ears and around the nape before returning to the starting point. - Front to back:
Measure from the center of your front hairline, over the top of your head, to the nape of your neck. - Ear to ear over top:
Starting at the hairline directly above one ear, measure over the top of your head to the same point above the opposite ear. - Forehead:
Measure across the front of your hairline from temple to temple. - Temple to temple (round back):
Starting at one temple, take the measuring tape around the back of your head to the opposite temple. - Nape of neck:
Measure across the width of your nape from one side of your natural hairline to the other.
Choosing Your Cap Size
Choose the standard cap size that most closely matches your measurements. If your measurements fall between two sizes or do not closely match one standard size, do not guess.
For a Custom Wig Order, enter your complete head measurements in the order form so we can review the fit information provided.
For Ready-to-Wear wigs, always review the listed cap size before purchasing, as the cap size of an already completed unit cannot be changed.
Before You Measure
- Flatten your natural hair as closely as possible to how you plan to wear it underneath your wig.
- Use a soft, flexible measuring tape.
- Keep the tape snug, but not tight.
- Do not add extra inches for comfort.
- Measure each area two to three times to confirm your result.
- Record your measurements exactly as taken.
